WWE's Reported Plans for Direction of Wyatt Sicks; Internal Reaction to Debut

The Wyatt Sicks made their debut on Monday night's episode of Raw after weeks of cryptic messages and teases, leaving fans to wonder what is in store for the group moving forward.

Bo Dallas, Nikki Cross, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis left a path of destruction in their wake Monday, as several wrestlers and staff members were battered and bloodied in the backstage area.

According to Fightful Select (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), the decisions regarding who The Wyatt Sicks attacked and who they didn't were "calculated, planned, and designed for specific reasons."

It was also noted that The Wyatt Sicks' actions are expected to create "ramifications. [that] will be widespread across various programs, with a domino effect on stories that are happening up and down the show."

As for how the stable was received, Fightful (h/t Nikunj Walia of Ringside News) reported that those in WWE were "over the moon" with the fan reaction, and "very happy" with how the "production, buzz and feedback" came across.

Few groups have ever had a more shocking and impactful debut than The Wyatt Sicks, but now it is up to the WWE creative team to ensure that the momentum keeps moving in a positive direction.

There is plenty of work ahead in terms of introducing each individual member and hammering home the overall mission statement, but fans are clearly already captivated, which means a major hurdle has already been crossed.

Hendry Talks Wanting Match vs. The Rock

TNA star Joe Hendry made his WWE debut Tuesday night on NXT, competing in a battle royal to determine the No. 1 contender for Trick Williams' NXT Championship.

Hendry received a thunderous reaction from the crowd and cut a promo before the battle royal only to be eliminated in the early going when nearly every other participant turned their attention to him.

Hendry confronted NXT booker Shawn Michaels after the fact and noted that he could show up on any show at any time thanks to WWE's working relationship with TNA.

Speaking recently on the Gabby AF podcast (h/t Mukherjee), Hendry divulged that he has some major aspirations within the WWE realm.

Hendry discussed his desire to go up against The Rock and expressed his belief that it is bound to happen one day:

"I can't tell you why, this sounds crazy, I want you to save this clip because the fact that NXT is working with TNA, the fact that being a TNA talent and having the possibility to think about all of these matches and situations ... I'm gonna say a few crazy things right here, because I just believe it to be true.

"If you go online, you will find a promo of me in 2017 calling out The Rock. For whatever reason, I just believe in my heart that one day, I will stand and face The Rock in a professional wrestling ring. I don't know why, I just think it's gonna happen one day."

Given The Rock's status and where he stands in WWE as a member of TKO's board of directors, Hendry likely has a long way to go before making his dream a reality.

Since returning to WWE, The Rock has only interacted with WWE's upper echelon of performers, as he teamed with Roman Reigns against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40.

Based on Hendry's popularity and charisma, it is easy to envision him signing with WWE at some point, but even if or when that happens, it will take time for him to build up the equity needed to share the ring with The Final Boss.

Jeff Hardy to Wrestle with Protective Mask Due to Broken Nose

Following his return to TNA last week, Jeff Hardy announced that he has been cleared to return to in-ring action, but with a catch.

Speaking on the MuscleManMalcolm YouTube channel (h/t Mukherjee), Jeff said he is "cleared to wrestle again with a broken nose mask."

Jeff suffered the injury during his final match with AEW back in February, as he took a knee to the face from Sammy Guevara, resulting in a broken nose.

His AEW contract subsequently expired, allowing him to show up in TNA last week at the Against All Odds event, joining forces with his brother, Matt Hardy, once again.

Jeff had a long and fruitful run in TNA in the past, winning promotion's world championship three times in addition to holding the tag team titles with Matt on two occasions.

Matt returned to TNA in April after his AEW deal was up, and once rumors and speculation regarding Jeff's AEW contract began making the rounds, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before him and Matt reunited in TNA.

The Hardy Boyz run in AEW was nowhere near as successful as most expected or hoped, but given their deep ties to TNA, there is seemingly a good chance that they will be able to turn things around moving forward.

Jeff being cleared for in-ring action is great for TNA in particular since it gives the promotion a ton of star power and the ability to utilize one of the most beloved and iconic figures in TNA history.
